In conjunction with the Carmel Arts & Design District businesses support for breast cancer research & awareness, during the month of March the Blue Egg Art Gallery will donate 10% of all sales to the Susan G. Kommen Foundation for the Cure. We will also have a donation box available in the Gallery.

"A Burst of Color"
Opening Reception March 6, 2010, 1-4 p.m.
Blue Egg Art Gallery will be featuring the work of watermedia artist, Alice Harpel. She is known for her mastery of color, energizing subject matter, and loose impressionistic approach that invites viewers into her paintings. Original framed and unframed acrylic paintings and "original painting bookmarks" will be available.

Valentine's Day District Gallery Walk

Enjoy the merchant events/activities, entertainment, culture and shopping of the Carmel Arts and Design District. The Blue Egg Art Gallery will celebrate Valentine's Day with the creation of original Valentine's Day cards for your special someone.
Participating shops and galleries will be open from 5 - 10 PM. Come and meet artists in the Blue Egg Art Gallery in the Carmel Arts and Design District office suite. Light refreshments will be served.

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY - Professional, personal inscription of artwork and cards

Blue Egg Art Gallery calligraphy artist and February Featured Artist of the Month Erika Woods will be present at the gallery prior to the Valentine's Day Gallery Walk to inscribe personal messages on any card or peice of art purchased.

"From Russia with Love" - Artist Valentina Shvyrkova will have her special Russian Winter collection and more on display during December.

"Give a gift, Get a gift" - Bring in a donation for a needy child and choose a gift from the Indiana Artists Card Collection. Donations to be given to Chaucies Place, Center for Abused Children in Carmel.

Second Saturdays

“Second Saturdays” activities kick-off the December 12th holiday festivities beginning at 11 a.m. and include special performances by local choirs, strolling carolers, holiday entertainment, local artists, activities and a visit from Santa! In addition, Arts & Design District Business Association of Carmel (ADDBAC) businesses will have special sales, promotions and activities that day.

Holiday in the Arts District Gallery Walk

Stop by Blue Egg Gallery’s holiday open house to view unique works of holiday art by local artists, including a Christmas card collection by artist Erika Woods and feature artist Valentina Shvyrkova’s special Russian Winter collection. Works will be displayed throughout the month of December.

This family friendly day will feature entertainers and performing artists on the main stage, located in the National City Bank parking lot at Main St. and Rangeline Road, including What’s Up, Doc? (jazz music), INDYPROV (comedy), as well as other local performers. Local artists will be featured throughout the district in front of the many boutiques, restaurants, galleries and specialty shops that are located in the area. Enjoy special promotions and discounts at district retailers throughout the day, and take some time out to donate blood at the Indiana Blood Center’s Bloodmobile.

Carmel International Arts Festival

Carmel Arts & Design District Gallery Walk - "Art of Wine"
Saturday, August 1, 2009, 5 - 10 PM
Enjoy a summer evening experiencing Indiana vintages al fresco at The Art of Wine, the newest can’t-miss event in the Carmel Arts & Design District.

Guests 21 and over can thrill their palates with unlimited samples of Indiana vintages for only $15. Wines are available for purchase by the glass or the bottle. The first 5,000 wine-tasting participants will also receive a souvenir wine glass. A photo ID is required to participate in the wine tasting. Guests can also enjoy a free concert by Indiana singer-songwriter Jennie DeVoe. The celebrated local indie performer will take the stage for an outdoor performance at 6 p.m. Many of the Carmel Arts & Design District boutiques and merchants will host special sales or promotions during the festival, while the diverse collection of galleries will host exhibits that spotlight wine-inspired works created by local, national and international artists. Come and meet artists in the Blue Egg Art Gallery in the Carmel Arts and Design District office suite. Parking is available at the Carmel Lions Club parking lot and the Indiana Design Center underground parking garage, as well as on-street parking in the District. Taxi cabs also will be available.

Serenity Restaurant - 135 S. Main St., Zionsville, IN
Artwork from the Blue Egg Art Gallery was on display at Serenity Restaurant until the end of July. Check out our art on the walls of the tea room. All art is for sale.

Rock the District
Rock the District is a free, community-wide music festival and shopping extravaganza taking place in the heart of the Arts & Design District in downtown Carmel, Indiana. Look for our table outside the District Office at 111 W. Main St., Suite 140.
